If Mr Nagarajan's assumption is true, the police should reopen the file and investigate the matter deeply in the interests racial and religious harmony in our country.

This will be a good deterrent to those radicals and ultras of whatever race or religion. Normally in conflicts of racial or religious nature the undesirable and fanatical groups will take advantage to exploit the situation.

The government and the police in particular should be fair and impartial in their investigation and take immediate and appropriate action so that our reputation as a wonderful model of a multiracial and multi-religious country projected to the world is not tarnished and conversely affect our foreign investors' thoughts and future plans to invest in our country.

Let us not be shortsighted and give in to fanatics and radicals whose aim is always destruction of peace and harmony. The home minister must instruct the police to go deep in this investigation without fail.
