I agree with some points raised by Anon that not all mathematical theorems point to God. However, there is no question that Einstein's E = MC 2 does.

The speed of light (C) is the only real and true constant in the universe. The fact that there is such a constant, that wherever in the universe you go, this constant is assured, points to a uniformity and consistency in the universe, that the universe exists under one umbrella.

The speed of light is the signature of our maker. Anon states that energy and mass can easily shift from one to another - the transmutation of energy into mass and vice versa. However, this cycle is very inefficient and energy is constantly being lost, meaning that the mass of the universe keeps shrinking until it is no more and only energy is left.

Thus, the universe needed MC 2 of energy to have been born but because mass (M) is unstable, it finally reverts to its origin that is energy (E). This is in line with the religious tradition of 'from God whence you came and thus to God hence you return'.

We have seen the destructive side of Einstein's formula in the unveiling of the atom bomb in 1945 which demonstrates the destructive nature of mankind. However, changing energy into mass, that is something mankind can never do as this is the domain of the Creator (God).

Anon states that since our sun is the main source of energy for us, then the sun can be considered a kind of God. Primitive man did worship the sun but we now know after the discovery of the telescope that our boundaries far exceed the solar system. At least primitive man, in worshiping his source of energy, was inadvertently on the right track.

So, what is the alternative theory to the origin of the universe other than as God's handiwork? Scientists believe in the 'Big Bang' theory as to how our universe came into existence. But where was the energy that would create this explosion?

Some atheists attribute this to the 'Theory of spontaneous combustion' meaning that ignitions can happen without a energy trigger, ie, there was no need for divine intervention.

Now this is my favourite part: When asked for proof of spontaneous combustion, atheists describe people known as 'fire-starters', people capable of starting fires using their minds just like telekinetists who can bend spoons with their minds.

Are these hoaxes or genuine scientific occurrences? Until I see proof, I prefer to believe in the concept of God.
