I refer to the letter Minister should ban malaysiakini.

I do emphatise with poor 'Z', certainly distressed on his return after being exposed to malaysiakini . I do not question that it will trouble a closed mind to read opinions that are perhaps opposite to what they are given. Besides, the openness of malaysiakini may threaten the conformist in 'Z'.

My guess is that the writer has intentionally signed off as 'Z', most commonly associated to characters sleeping in comic strips. Well, the curtains have been drawn open, the sudden burst of sunlight in that room would blind. Shut the eyes for a moment, then open them to delight in the light.

I do hope the minister in question would desist from taking up the "ban" recommendation - it would, if it were to happen, return us to darkness.
