Dr Azahari Husin was 'nauseous and upset' to see many Muslims killed as a result of the war and sanctions in Iraq as mentioned by Arbibi Ashoy in his letter . In other words, Azahari was trapped into seeking righteousness through violent means to justify a cause. I personally feel that the means should not justify the ends.

Every civilised human being should realise and propagate the doctrine of non-violence to all fellow beings irrespective of religion or creed. Spirituality should not be a monopoly of any religion. It should pervade the hearts of all human beings.

Using force and violence to kill innocent people is essentially not a way to seek justice. Peace in this world requires the absence of aggression and the presence of love. Force and violence, unfortunately, have seen men, women and children - the innocent ones - being orphaned, wounded, disfigured, or killed. We have seen numerous incidents of this nature in many parts of the world with the aggressors claiming that they are doing it for a cause. But why take the lives of innocent people to justify one's cause?

The countless violent events happening throughout the world today remind us of some gruesome episodes in our civilisation wrought in the name of power, politics and religion. This should never happen in a civilised society. Seeing innocent people becoming victims of violence, no one would sympathise with those people who committed these barbaric acts of violence although they may say that they are doing it to seek justice in life.

Violence begets violence. Force and compulsion have always led to more intolerance in any society. To fight force by applying more force would only lead to more conflicts and miseries for mankind. This principle is not going to resolve anything. History has proven that this has only led to more hatred among people and the eventual destruction of the fabric of our society.

Sometimes we forget that it is only when we treat the world kindly, would the world treat us kindly in return. Hatred and vengefulness will only cease with love.
