What a sad day for mankind indeed. One may wish to wonder, if a person can treat animals badly, there's a high chance that it may happen to human beings as well.

One should not be cruel to any living thing and the manner in which the owner abused and abandoned the dog to die is sickening.

Nonetheless, our laws are restricted when it comes to dealing with such cruelty and the laws in this area require reviewing immediately. As a caring society, one should not only care about our fellow human beings but all living things as well. That is the basis of all religions and beliefs in the world.
