The wisdom to not perpetuate violence

I refer to Arbibi Arshoy's letter Violence is a necessity in this world .
Is it excusable or acceptable if we repay violence with violence, hatred with hatred? We may be living in a world awash in violence, but as human beings we have the wisdom and will not to participate in perpetuating violence.
Consider the story of the Palestinian father who donated his slain son's organs to save the lives of his enemies. Isn't this a much better way to end one's life? Isn't it the epitome to repay hatred with kindness?
Dr Azahari Husin may have held a doctoral degree, but he had a lot to learn as a human being. Alas, he is dead. I hope the rest who are still living will continue to learn.
