In my humble opinion, Saad Hashim's opinion in Husbands enthralled by pretty girls is rather biased. His undertone indicates that all Chinese visitors are either prostitutes or economic opportunists.
So, what if we switch the same prejudice on other nationality, say Indonesian? Since they are here longer than any other nationality.
Here's Saad's comment:
"Concerned about the influx of Chinese citizens into this country who are involved in all kinds of illicit trade such as prostitution, selling fake goods or even pretending to be healers.
"The Chinese community should be worried over this. They must realise that these China visitors are invariably economic migrants who only want to make money to take home. They will have no hesitation to cheat another Chinese, take their jobs or even commit crimes against them."
We can change the comments to this:
"Concerned about the influx of Indonesian citizens into this country who are involved in all kinds of illicit trade such as prostitution, kidnap, rape, burglary, theft, smuggling, murder or even pretending to be bumiputera."
"The Malay community should be worried over this. They must realise that these Indonesian visitors are invariably economic migrants who only want to make money to take home. They will have no hesitation to cheat other Malays, take their jobs or even commit crimes against them."
I just hope that our police force don't share the same narrow perspective regarding our visitors of any nationalities.
