If you are one like me following the many scandals and double speak in Malaysian politics and life you would be amazed at how qualified we are in being presented a Guinness Book of Records for the double speak and hypocrisy in our midst.

A clear example of recent months the infamous case of the woman performing squats and the media blitz on it.

Well, pressures have been exerted and the editors in China Press were forced to resign all in the cause of accountability, good governance and transparency - a buzz word that stinks to high heaven when used in Malaysia.

But the pertinent question remains why politicians and civil servants who are embroiled in scandals that the nation has witnessed through the last 25 years are still in power and hardly made to account for their failures and indiscretions as they are in more civilised and accountable societies like Singapore, South Korea and Japan.

Perhaps, this could be 'food for thought' if the premier is planning on a cabinet reshuffle which would reflect his vision, ideas and aspirations for a beautiful country with great resources and potential though caught today in a web of deceit, hypocrisy, fanaticism and subtle racism.
