In a booklet on former UPM Vice-Chancellor Prof Muhamad Zohadie, outlining his contributions to the development of UPM during his five-year tenure as VC, I was attracted to a snippet from one of his speeches which said:

Well, professor, I salute you on your resignation as UPM VC. I am sure you could not tolerate the stinking leadership. Higher Education Minister Dr Shafie Salleh is the nation's embarrassment. He represents the 'ikan kepala busuk' and that's why the performance of our higher education sector is declining.

By the way, it is good that Petronas has decided to terminate his son's scholarship due to poor academic performance. His son did poorly in an American university and because of this poor academic performance, he was transferred to another university, also in the US.

But because of continuing poor performance, Petronas said enough is enough and so the termination.
