Prasarana would like to thank the writer for his views on the Rapid KL airport shuttle service from Putra Heights to KLIA. Nonetheless, we would like to accentuate on the prominent facts of the Rapid KL airport shuttle service that began operation on Feb 1, 2019.

The airport shuttle service aims to increase connectivity through existing infrastructure and assets. It also provides easy, convenient and seamless travelling for the commuters to and from KLIA and KLIA2 via Rapid KL rail and bus services. This initiative was supported by the Ministry of Transport with the objective of improving and enhancing the public transport system.

The airport shuttle service offers a combo ticket, comprising rail and bus services, for only RM10 and operates every 30 minutes. The ticket can be purchased from any LRT/MRT/Monorail/BRT station counter and commuters can travel by using any mode under Rapid KL services to go straight to Putra Heights LRT station and ride the shuttle bus to KLIA/KLIA2.

This new service will serve the community not only from Putra Heights, but also from Subang Jaya, Puchong and Shah Alam. Commuters who are using our rail services can continue their journey impeccably to KLIA and KLIA2, without having to drive their own private vehicles. This service is deemed to be another option for commuters to choose, other than the current services that are being offered.

In terms of connectivity, Putra Heights is strategic as a transportation hub due to its existing landscape, where both the Kelana Jaya Line LRT and Ampang Line LRT are connected at the Putra Heights LRT station. It also acts as a catalyst for urban development that is more effective and dynamic by providing access to business and commercial areas around Putra Heights.

In essence, we hope that this response will help our commuters and potential commuters to understand better our new airport shuttle service. We appreciate all the comments given and we will do our best to improve our services for the commuter’s convenience.
