Homosexuality is not a crime

I refer to POTS letter Moral policing in UM downright stupid and his/her statement:
"Meanwhile, more serious issues like public smoking, homosexualism, thefts and vandalism are conveniently disregarded as something inevitable and unavoidable."
I am of the opinion that transforming "homosexuality" into an 'ism' is downright silly and equating homosexuality with the crimes of theft and vandalism, uninformed, i.e, "stupid".
I suggest POTS read up on human sexuality from a modern, scientific and rational perspective before labeling certain human behaviour as criminal.
