I am writing to express my frustration with the present BN government who really do not care about the majority of the rakyat. Even quit rent in Sungai Petani is not spared.

Last year I paid RM40 and this year I had to fork out RM100. This translates to an increase of 150 percent. But property in Sungai Petani did not appreciate nor was there much development.

No wonder the municipal council has the budget to install 10 clocks around Sungai Petani at a cost of RM39,000 each. Moreover, these clocks are not working and I am sure most of the people have a watch or a handphone which can tell you the time too.

At least, if the municipal council were to put up something that can tell you the temperature, that would at least be worth the RM39, 000 they spent on the masterpieces that they put up. Why waste the taxpayer's money and keep on raising this and that to burden the rakyat?
