In response to letter by Transit Passenger , he is correct to say that the new Low Cost Carriers Terminal is a mistake. Why? Because it is basically another international and domestic airport situated within another international and domestic airport.

The mistake of building such an expensive airport (KLIA) is now compounded by another structure that emulates it. So now we have two separate terminals for international arrivals and departures, compounding the work load of the immigration and customs departments at the airport. And we all know how very visitor-unfriendly those staff tend to be. Expect longer queues and unsmiling faces at the immigration counter.

What I thought AirAsia wanted was a parking space for their aircraft, whereby a bus can be used to load and discharge passengers with all their luggage in hand. The heavy luggage, after going through the necessary security checks at the main terminal, can then be manually loaded into the cargo compartment.

The embarkation point for this service could have been so much cheaper than building another terminal. But anyway, I have a very low opinion of the airport managers, and the recent rise in airport tax and the non-payment of government loans seems to justify it. Instead of cutting costs and creating efficiency, they seem to be going against this trend.
