As a Muslim, I feel very ashamed of the directive by the police force that all non-Muslim women don the 'tudung' during official functions. For the very fact that this is not according to Islamic law but merely to satisfy personal egos.

One thing I notice here in Malaysia is we are becoming like the Western people where, when mistakes are made, no apology is required. Instead we think of a reason to justify the mistake and make it right.

Look at all the recent developments in our country. Statements made by politicians which imply 'I'm the boss, this is the way it should be done, no questions or else ...' I bet you come election time, we will be poured with lots of goodies by those in power until they get elected again.

After all, five years is a long time and Malaysians often have memory lapses every five years. So why the fury and anger today? We are the ones who gave them power, so serves us right. Just live with it.
