Have some respect for Dr M
I do not understand why our current government is instructing Dr Mahathir Mohamad to hush up over the bridge issue. Furthermore, how can Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Nazri Abdul Aziz - who sheltered under Mahathir's umbrella once - now tell him 'do not interfere'.
Doesn't he understand that our Dr M has brought our country to great heights even though there are some areas which are still wanting (I am seeing it in developed worlds too).
If Nazri wants Dr M to keep quiet on government decisions being made, he should approach him personally to do so and not lament about it in the media. He should understand that Dr M is the person who developed Malaysia's world-class infrastructure from a country known as a place where people lived on trees. Have some respect at least.
I suggest our government approach Dr M for advice on major decisions for he has the experience and thoughts for the betterment of the nation. From there on, our government could make a decision on what's best for the nation and also, collectively, not irritate Dr M. From what I see from the letters he wrote on the bridge issue, he loves his country very much and has sacrificed a lot for it.
