Compared to the venerable and great Sarawak Tribune , the Eastern Times is just a roll of propaganda broadsheet; to put it mildly. Looks like we are in for a decade (at least) of creeping anti-peoples' psychological warfare to be waged in that paper which is and will be no better than the anti-semitic papers of Hitler's Nazis', or Mussolini's fascists' era. Shades of Mahathirism.

Evonlim is right. Don't buy that paper. Better still, tell everyone not to buy that paper and don't advertise in it. Let's see if the Sarawakian non-bumis have the courage and strength not to dignify such a racial paper with advertisements.

Let it bleed and go bankrupt. It is easy. Without a decent circulation figure, it cannot have decent advertisement rates. With the cost of newsprint and high overheads daily as it is now, it won't be long before the Eastern Times sinks under a mountain of debt or sells out.

This is democracy and free market in play. If a paper is anti-people, you have all the right to take action accordingly. A boycott is a very effective way.
