I refer to the letter Gov't running country or night market?

I guess the writer is right for more than a month now Putrajaya, a scenic city and the nation's administrative centre, has been converted into a mega-pasar malam. I thought Putrajaya was a well-planned city, with its markets, parks, hospitals, schools and all other public facilities well-designed and well-placed.

Putrajaya Corporation does not even allow anyone to plant tapioca plants or banana trees in their own backyards!

But now, come every Friday, the present 'rulers' have converted the beautiful sights at the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and its surroundings into a mega-'pasar malam' (night market). You have designated market places to run such business, so why choose the building of the MOF and the other beautiful government sites? It is ridiculous.

I thought most local authorities are finding it a hard time to rid their areas of pasar malams and illegal hawkers to allow the rakyat to live in a modern, beautiful and cleaner environments. But the present 'rulers', and that includes Putrajaya Corporation, are teaching the rakyat to revert to pre-historic times and mentality. Why are most pasar malams chased out of 'tamans' and 'housing estates' but this mega-pasar malam in this beautiful city encouraged?

It is a pity then that legal traders and businesses who have rented expensive market and shopping places in Putrajaya are easily 'knocked out' by the traders at this mega-pasar malam. All due to 'rulers' and unethical collaborators who are specialists in night market trading, likewise managing the country Malaysia like a big night market.
