I refer to your report Act against me, Samy dares PAC .
It is interesting that a senior minister and a leader, what more a veteran, should show total disrespect to the PAC. No wonder, that while we may be listed under the most developing country category, we are still the one with the most stranded projects, the most overpriced projects and the most abandoned projects.
I think the people have a right to know how their monies are spent. As it is, billions have already been wasted so that a few can prosper. Kindly refer to the PAC report's last year on failures and abuses.
Until today, I am surprise that there is no real debate on the 'wheres' or 'hows' and the 'whoms' with regards to government projects. And now, we have to take this nonsense from an elected member of parliament?
If he gets away with this and no action taken, then why do we all have rules? Just imagine if every minister does as he or she likes. Why have ministers then? We, too, can do as we like. Then there would be total chaos. Is that the example that this minister wants to set?
Transparency and accountability are the only ways to move forward and if Pak Lah talks the talk, then he should walk the walk. After all, did he not say that he is the government of the people, for the people and by the people? Let the people judge. Be fair and straight and honest for a better Malaysia.
