I refer to the letter Lost City lost for good?

I disagree with Tan, the writer. It is not for Muzium Negara to 'get cracking'. The authorities have had their say and are quite clear in their assertion that the so-called 'lost city' does not exist. Now, the ball is very much in Raimy Che-Ross court. He has yet to rebut the findings of the government's investigation.

Let's not be so quick to dismiss the work of the 15 experts led by the director-general of the Department of Museums and Antiquities. They spent more than a month last July investigating Raimy's claims.

The findings of this investigation are detailed in a working paper entitled 'Merungkai Misteri Kota Purba Linggiu' April 28, 2006. It is now up to Raimy to counter this position.

I was captivated by malaysiakini's feature on the Lost City. However, I can imagine that the somewhat crude and dismissive tone that Raimy adopted would not be winning him any favours with the powers-that-be.

If he is serious about continuing his quest, I would imagine a polite and rational response to would now be in order.
