I live in Bukit Serdang, Seri Kembangan, Selangor and for many months have suffered the inefficiency of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB).

In the past two months, I have suffered at least five power breakdowns as far as I can remember, and many more unreported ones. Each breakdown last for more than an hour, and there have been no explanation as to why there are these power outages.

Every phone call to TNB elicits the same response: "We will send our technician, Miss. Sorry, we cannot tell you why there is yet another power failure".

The date and time of the breakdowns in my area (noted down by me) are as follows:

June 27 11.30pm

July 16 11.26pm

July 19 6.57pm

Aug 4 5.30pm

Aug 22 12.22pm

Can you imagine having a power breakdown every week? Surely TNB must realise that this isn't just the case of a power surge; there isn't even an air-conditioning unit in my house.

Why can't the problem be fixed at the root? Please, what I wish most for Merdeka is for me to not live in darkness and for TNB to start bucking up!
