I refer to FN's letter NEP must be expanded .

FN has completely missing the point here. The so-called Malay corporations that mentioned by him are doing fairly well in the home country simply because they are operating in a protected environment. They are no way near the big boys in the region, don't even talk about the world.

If the New Economic Policy need to be expanded, it has to benefit the masses, i.e. the general public in the country, not the few selected Malays. The benefits should be given to the deserved lot based on household income, number of children. Any discriminating factors such as race should not be a factor.

I do believe there are hardworking and self-respecting Malays, but how many of them actually benefitted from NEP directly? FN, you need to be frank to yourself when you said many Malays are able to do business now. The most wealthy and so-called successful Malay entrepreneurs in the country are in the business of rent-seeking earning big bucks because of who they know, not what they know.

I just hope that there are more Khalid Ibrahims and fewer FNs in the Malay community, then Malaysia will be a better place for all.
