I refer to the malaysiakini report Dr M: Saddam's execution barbaric .

I'm afraid the 'travesty of justice' by the Malaysian government was not broadcast when under the former premier, an opposition politician was incarcerated for speaking up on behalf of a young girl who was raped. When I think of a just government, I would like to see great men, like Lim Guan Eng, honoured and men like Saddam Hussein brought to trial.

If Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the former premier of Malaysia, was on an international committee to defend Saddam Hussien, who then was present in Malaysia to defend former MP Lim Guan Eng when Lim was criminalised for speaking up for the weak and powerless in society - in this instance a 15-year-old Malaysian girl?

As Elie Wiesel, the Nobel laureate, professor and holocaust survivor said, the question is not where was God during the Holocaust, but where was man?

Saddam Hussein received a fair trial and his life has come to an end. Let those of us who are living begin to seek and pray for truth and justice to prevail within ourselves and our homelands because we love and fear God.
