No Mr PM, we cant afford another private jet
I refer to the article by JTB's Private jet: Give Pak Lah a break .
While the government asked all of us to tighten our belts, while all the tariffs and toll increases is affecting our quality of life, he chose to purchase a brand new RM200 million executive jet.
To add insult to injury it was ordered at the a time when our country's coffer was supposed to be emptied by his predecessor. The people are quite aware that PMB is 100% owned by the government.
The VIP jet squadron already has three or more executive jets - the 737 Bizjet, the Falcon 900, FK28 and the Global Express. With proper care, they should suffice to meet his needs. Please do not compare us with the Jones, America and Malaysia are two world's apart.
This is not the time to spend extravagantly. The country is trying hard to push its sluggish economy into motion and to compete for FDI (foreign direct investment), the last thing we wish is that the government is spending lavishly on events/items/projects not in accordance to priority.
Yes, we voted for him with high hopes but I am afraid not the next time around.
