Further to Cyberjayan's plea for more and better designed bus stops in Cyberjaya, I agree that there needs to be more attention paid to bus stops and the services here in Cyberjaya. The problem is a lot wider than that though.

There has been an abject failure on the part of planners when constructing new office buildings here, bordering on negligence! There is woeful car parking space allocated within the confines of most of the impressive buildings in Cyberjaya.

Take the HSBC building in the heart of Cyberjaya. It has very little parking space within the confines of its own building. Consequently, staff from HSBC park their cars in almost any space they can find around the building including very dangerous positions on busy street corners and sometimes double parking. The entire area is a disgrace with the irresponsible parking by the company's staff.

The same is true at the TM complex and other buildings where cars are indiscriminately parked everywhere on the public roads around their buildings.

With office and residential building continuing apace, Cyberjaya will become completely clogged with parked cars soon. Speeding cars (mostly driven by wannabe Michael Schumachers) regularly cause serious accidents but rarely do you see a police car in sight even though there is a brand new police station.

The CCTV systems originally installed to monitor traffic at most major junctions in Cyberjaya are now sadly disused since the Majlis Daerah Sepang took over control of the Cyberjaya Communications Centre. The latter is now devoid of any staff and the large video screens are switched off.

It is therefore not only the social facilities that need further investment here in Cyberjaya, but also the management of the infrastructure. More attention has also got to be paid to policing and towards a more intelligent planning of new buildings.
