It has now become a norm that come a general election or by-election, the confronting parties will always be complaining against each other to the Election Committee over what is unfair and not right.

It is time that this duty be taken over by the voters of that particular constituency with they themselves bringing up complaints to the Election Commission. If the EC fails to acknowledge or take action, a police report should be filed against the EC.

This task will be made easier if voters are informed on their constitutional rights and what the EC is obligated to do. From what I've read, the EC is either a toothless tiger or a fiery dragon depending which side they take.

Everyone knows that this sort of partisan behaviour must be curtailed. For a better Malaysia, the democratic process has to start from somewhere and it is time that the rakyat's voice is truly heard.
