I have been a Southern Bank customer of the PJ Section 14 and Section 17 branches for the past five years. I was very happy and satisfied with the service given by the staff there who served me all these years, especially the staff at the Section 14 branch. They are helpful and very efficient.
Unfortunately, ever since the merging of BCB Bhd and Southern Bank, the new entity currently being known as CIMB Bhd, all this good service has disappeared. All the familiar helpful faces of the Section 14 have also disappeared. It used to take me less than 15 minutes to complete simple transactions such as payments and withdrawals and this even during peak hours such as lunch time.
Now, on four separate occasions, both at the Section 14 and Section 17 branches, it took 35-60 minutes of waiting before staff served me despite there being only one to three customers before me.
CIMB needs to buck up on service. Making your valued customers wait for more than 45 minutes just to do a simple transaction is very unacceptable. I have given my comments in their customer feedback form previously, yet I don't see any improvement.
CIMB Bhd is supposed to be a better bank with the combined experience of both BCB and Southern banks. But sad to say, a long term customer disagrees.
