I refer to the malaysiakini report Zam slams press for raising racial tensions .

I wish to record my utter dismay at the comments of the minister for (mis?)information. Information can be biased, neutral or indifferent. The May 13 book by Dr Kua Kia Soong is just about facts by a reputable organisation. Zam seems to forget that as minister for information, he should the first to promote freedom of information, albeit with the responsibilities that come with it.

To say that the press are playing up racial sentiments in the case of the Maybank debacle and the May 13 book is pure nonsense. As a 'one-time journalist', Zam should be aware of the duties and responsibility of journalist to seek and write the truth. In what aspects are these two issues that have been highlighted revealing 'untruths' or 'false information'? The press were just doing their duty to make known what are the facts of the matter.

Zam, I know that you have a duty to your political masters and the Umnoputras, who only want to perpetuate their agenda. Otherwise how can you be blind to the recent tone of the various articles that have appeared in the alternative media. The country, including the Malays who are not under the patronage of the Umnoputras, is sick of those like you using racial card to perpetuate the business empires of the Umnoputras and their cohorts in BN.

Come on, you definitely remember this old saying, 'You can fool some people all the time, you can fool some people some of the time but you can't fool all the people all the time'. The truth will finally reveal the folly of those who believe otherwise. I believe you belong to this group.
