Ministers must be responsible for shoddy work
I refer to the malaysiakini report DAP wants panel to probe 'leaks' .
I think that it is high time that our beloved government create a new department to salvage its credibility as leaks and falling ceilings seem to be the order of the day. It is rather unusual that thus far, none have been brought to book for these mishaps.
In my humble opinion, it is ministers such as S Samy Vellu and Ong Ka Ting that should be held accountable for these fiascos, and I think that it would not be too long before tragedy strikes again. As a matter of fact, it was reported that a doctor at a newly-built hospital was injured by a falling ceiling.
How many more disasters must occur before the government takes the safety of its workers seriously? I therefore call upon irresponsible ministers who shirk their duties to have a sense of pride by quitting the cabinet in public interest, as some of them have already overstayed their welcome.
Finally, might I suggest that concerned writers and all others who feel strongly about the growth of our nation come up with a book with the title, 'The litany of disasters in Bolehland'.
If the government does not take stock of the present situation, then let us send them a clear message in the forthcoming general elections by voting them out of office. My dear Malaysians, I sincerely hope that you will heed my call.
