I refer to the letter Kayveas, you'll hear from our lawyers . What on earth is the Ctos CEO trying to prove by writing a letter to a deputy minister in the media? The letter itself is insulting to a cabinet member. It simply demonstrates how insolent and arrogant a person he is.

They unashamedly collect debtors information through whatever shameless sources they can and then enter that info into their computers and then sell this to their clients. Goodness gracious! What a business to get involved in. We are aware they spend all your time going through the newspapers, court records, perhaps even through lawyer friends to siphon out personal details of Malaysian citizens.

To top it off, they adamantly refused to update their data. Do they know that they have destroyed the livelihood of thousands of citizens as they have been deprived of financial assistance from banks and other financial institutions either for their personal needs or for their businesses?

The bank officers say to 'go and sort it out' with Ctos but Ctos refuses to update its data and there is no way the customer can have it rectified. In the end, the customer is slammed by the financial institution and there is nothing the customer can do.

Ctos, meanwhile, continues making all its money through the continued sale of its customers data to financial institutions. It is ironical someone could be their customer without his knowledge! Ctos should remember that every one of the names they have in their computers is a customer of their company.

They are trading his name with their other set of customers, that is the financial institutions. They don't give two hoots for the first set of customers whose data they sell. They only care only for the second set of customers to whom they sell the data for money. What about the consumer rights for the first set of customers?

Yet they the nerve and the audacity to publicly ridicule M Kayveas in the open media. They tried to give the impression that they were an extremely law-abiding corporate citizen of this country and that they are more knowledgeable. Nay, the truth finally came to light when it was reported

they have been slapped with 85 charges under the Companies Act 1965.

Both the banks and Ctos have committed a sinful act against innocent people for far too long. The banks should have been reprimanded and disciplined by Bank Negara long ago. But some how they failed so Ctos continued with their activities. Thank God we have someone the likes of M Kayveas who believes in truly serving the public - indeed a rare trait among politicians in Malaysia.
