According to Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Nazri Aziz , personal websites have been allowed to broadcast slander, lies and swearing, racial slurs, etc. He said that the government was very concerned about statements that insult religion and which disturbed the nation's harmony and caused uneasiness among the communities.

Let me ask the minister what he intends to do with statements which come out of from his own colleagues in the Barisan Nasional which have been insulting, hurting, and which have caused uneasiness among the communities and which have disturbed the nation's harmony.

Let's begin with the insensitive members of parliament who slandered Karpal Singh and showed total insensitivity towards the handicapped in Malaysia. Not to forget their slurs on women in the now infamous 'bocor' incident.

Then, did not Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak recently make a statement that made many uneasy? How about Education Minister Hishammuddin Hussein Onn who warned MCA leaders and who raised a 'keris' for some struggle? Whose blood was he intending to bathe in this time with his 'keris'?

Did not the other communities feel uneasy at all of the above?

We can go on and on, but the truth is the government is not accountable to anyone and suppresses the rakyat while its leaders are free to make all kinds of racial and extreme statements. It is time for the government be held accountable to the rakyat.
