Looking at the state of politics today (with much help from malaysiakini), I must say I am tempted to run as an Independent for the post of member of parliament of Ulu Langat, Selangor, in the next general elections. The post has for a long time been held by BN, either through Umno or MCA.

I am willing to run as an independent even though I am unknown, young (36 years old) and not wealthy. But I can offer my idealism, intelligence (I am a law graduate from Nottingham University, England), knowledge (I read a lot - meaning I spend a lot too on imported books), my language skills, my understanding of different cultures, my ability to listen, my good looks (I'm humble too!).

Most importantly, I offer to the people of Malaysia my integrity!

It would be nice if I had at least 100 other young people all over Malaysia, male and female, who are interested in doing what I intend to do. Let's be brave enough to spend a few thousand ringgit as forfeitable deposit to run for elections.

Let's save this beloved country of ours before it is too late!
