We have zillions of issues to be addressed but what is the use? It is back to square one most of the time. I am sure we all follow various news sites and the blogs but the frustration is the same and it always a dead end. The issue just die off. That is the Malaysian way. We are such a 'Tidak apa, apa nak buat' crowd.

We need to be intelligent and constructive in our approach. We need to make a consciousness effort to make a difference in our own way in the smallest manner we can. All these alternative news sites and blogs just simply did not come about; they were set up by people who care about Malaysian society.

They believe in something and they want to make a change for the betterment of society. Until every reader, writer and everyone of us as individuals realise that there is more to life than money, only then can we make a difference and not just aimlessly climb onto various platforms to voice our dissent.

It is not a matter of belonging to any particular but our motivation as Malaysians to see a change that should propel us forward. It does not matter whether it is in Malaysia or elsewhere, but how we contribute that makes the person proud of being a Malaysian.

The news sites and blogs are playing their roles in making us realise our responsibility as part of the Malaysian society. At the end of the day, it is you and me that will decide to do something constructive in our own way and make a change in our country whether we are in Malaysia or elsewhere.

So my dear Malaysians, please wake up. It is not rhetoric that is going to change anything, but your effort as an individual. In your own way, do what is right for our society and nation to enhance our Malaysian society as a whole.

Be proud to be a Malaysian.
