Who does 'A Malaysian' ([#1]Down with whiners and ingrates[/#] Nov 22) thinks he/she is to sound so authoritarian in his/her declaration to anyone, to 'pose a challenge' to those 'whiners and ingrates', as he (or she) puts it?

All this person needs to do is not to access Malaysiakini . Simple, isn't it? The mainstream media of the day certainly won't offend such good propriety and sense.

What a sophisticated reference to the Maslow's concept to boost. So, man shall live by bread alone - that's what is being implied. All of man-made institutions are automatically perfect and we should revere them or be damned as ingrates and whiners?

We should merely work, sleep, and procreate in the prescribed and institutionally-approved manner and then greater things shall come our way, all in time, because the local institution of government is essentially and totally altruistic and never self-serving and you must not question its integrity.

In Malaysia, when a group of people form a government, heaven decrees divine blessings upon them so that they are transformed into saints.

We should only compare ourselves with our poorer cousins and all men must evolve intellectually at the same degree according to the Command Performance or be ostracized.

Linear thinking shall be the guideline in our thinking. But I wonder whatever happened to lateral thinking in solving any problem. Absolute 'us and 'em dichotomy' and don't shake the boat; morality is what I say it is!

No system is without flaws, therefore the (self-agenda-ed) means justify the (vaunted) ends. Phew!
