Our country has entered a period of reformation, a period in which people demanding for equal rights. However, homosexuals seem to be forgotten, or in most cases, ignored.

This is a group of people that need guidance. Our society generally does not care about them, as long as "my child is not gay".

We blame them for transmitting Aids, disordering the society, being decadent, being infertile (they are actually fertile, I just can't find another word to describe the situation).

They are exposed to an essentially heterosexual world that condemns their existence. The laws, the religions, the moral values are made for heterosexuals. Who is going to tell them what to do?

A lot of heterosexuals don't consider homosexuals as human beings. We should know that they are just like us. They have sexual needs, self-esteem and hence deserve equal rights as heterosexuals.

We shouldn't ignore their existence. Instead we should give them a set of moral values that is suitable for them. Heterosexuals' moral values prohibit them from committing adultery.

The same rule could be applied to homosexuals in which case they could live with their lovers for the rest of their lives.

This suggestion may sound absurd to some people, particularly the religious ones. But please give them your help. It doesn't matter whether homosexuality is a disease, genetic aberrance or natural occurrence - homosexuals deserve equal rights.

Maybe an amendment of laws regarding this topic is still implausible. But all reformation starts with people.

Accepting homosexuals and stopping discrimination against them would be a perfect start. Our society is a caring one. We care about the poor, the sick - why can't we care about homosexuals?
