I salute malaysiakini for publishing provocative critiques against your reporter Zakiah Koya by Jacqueline Ann Surin (Unfair comment on journalists, Dec 8). I don't think Utusan and 'the gang' would dare to publish this kind of criticism against their 'professional' reporters.

Personally, as a reader, I feel like I'm being cheated when I go through the local mainstream media for news. I feel like vomiting when our senior minister campaigns about "fighting corruption", and yet the election process itself is full of corruption (I wish somebody out there can prove me wrong).

Since most of the media are getting "ball-less" every day, malaysiakini is perhaps the last platform where rakyat like me can express their views. Journalism is not my area of expertise, but as a reader I know what things to eat or to spit out. I am grossly fed-up with pro-government slant in the news.
