Web media is for other views

After reading Shahrir's comments about web media and print media news presentation, I believe the most crucial difference is that malaysiakini is not subject to the Malaysian authority's censorship and control.
As we all know, the print media is subject to government control through publishing permits. A web media, on the other hand, may be produced entirely or partly in external locations outside of or within Malaysia, but its domain space's physical hardware can be overseas.
As such malaysiakini will be able give views which the Malaysian print media tries to avoid, or cannot, publish.
