I humbly seek your forgiveness beforehand

I was born in your country, not consulted, not timed by me nor could I choose which colour or creed I was to be born to. I was issued with a birth certificate and later an identity card which certify me as a citizen of your country.

As a citizen, I was brought up to respect fairness, fair play and equality in everything, or else I could just walk over my neighbour's house, sock him up and take whatever I want.

So in the same vein, Malaysia cannot never expect me to take citizenship as a second-class thing, for there are no separate first, biz and coach class in this plane named Malaysia. It does not indicate anywhere on my purchase ticket (aka birth cert) and my boarding pass (aka MyKad).

The country can try all it wants to relegate and belittle me, but it will never succeed. I will remain defiant, I will remain upset but I will never accept the concept of 'pendatang'. That is a problem that my forefathers have with the original bumis here and their quarrels or problems should be solved by them. Else the problem should have died and buried with them. I do not subscribe to my forefathers' quarrels or problems, and I also do not subscribe to any other person who claims to have a generational baggage problem.

I may not be able to change your perception and Malaysia may continue to spiral in its hole because it is so comfortable there, but rest assured that I will not accept any second-class or special privilege or any other forms of class division, whether it is social, economical or religious.

Also rest assured that my children who have purchased similar tickets will not cancel their flights or change their boarding passes.

I remain a Malaysian on a single-class plane called Malaysia. If anyone feels insulted, or disagree, that is not my problem. Don't ever expect me to accept anything less, for I will continue to bitch and yell till it stops. I may not get what I want but I will not take it lying down. To do anything less is to be unpatriotic to Malaysia.
