Remember what happened last year? A group of about 100 hostile, out-to-create-trouble Umno Youth walked some kilometres carrying a seditious banner, behaving in an unruly manner, challenging reporters and threatening to burn down the Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall.

All these happened, without a police permit, mind you, under the watchful eye of policemen on duty! Did the police stop them? Did the police arrest any of them right there and then? Did the police make any arrest after a police report was made?

A potentially explosive situation with racial undertones occurred in front of the police yet they made no arrest. Four people, three of them parents, stage a sit-in in front of the Education Ministry building, and the police say it's an illegal assembly and deem it necessary to make arrest ([#1] Parents stage sit-in at Education Ministry, 4 arrested [/#] Feb 5). Is this a joke?

Do the police practise double standards? Is this another example of the lack of professionalism in the force? I am so ashamed of our police!
