Dr Toh Kin Woon is one of the few rare leaders who truly represents the rakyat . He has consistently spoken the truth even when it is hard or not beneficial (to oneself) to do so. I think most politicians would not even be able to comprehend the concept of speaking the truth regardless of consequences!

The current political environment in Malaysia is blatantly immature and it takes guts to speak the truth in such a loathsome environment. Today, MPs are required to represent the views of the ruling elite rather than the people who elected them in to power in the first place. If an MP speaks the views of the people, he is asked to resign.

It is amazing how during elections, politicians 'turun padang' and give an appearance of being attentive to the woes of the people. These politicians would go as far as visit food centres and peal 'bawang putih' with the hawkers! And when it is all over, they suddenly become representatives of the ruling elite. The rakyat is forgotten and the ruling elite is now the master they must slave for at all cost... even at the expense of the rakyat and the truth.

Does Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz honestly think that calls for a free judiciary, a fair electoral system and equitable distribution of wealth are something only 30,000 or 40,000 people want? Surely any sane, honest and law-abiding citizen would want all of the above... even if he/she does not march for it!

Well, one thing is for sure. Backboneless Nazri can never stand up to a credible person with principles like Dr Toh, no matter how hard he tries.
