Astro magazine a 'blackmail'
Astro is now asking its customers to divulge a whole lot of information (obviously for some advertiser’s benefit) just so that their customers can continue to receive a magazine which includes Astro’s programming information.
This magazine will be free for only one year.
What Astro is doing is selling its customers info to an advertiser or magazine producer and making customers pay for a magazine which they may not need or want.
What customers want is only programme information which Astro has always included as a free service with its normal subscription.
Now I cannot even get that without paying for a magazine I may not want.
Give Astro a monopoly and now they ‘blackmail ‘ paying customers. Is there a watchdog to ban these underhanded, money-raking activities?
