I refer to the letter Destruction at Bkt Kiara - in the name of the King?

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw what the ignorant fools have done to Bukit Kiara. It took countless painstaking hours to build what Bukit Kiara is today for joggers, riders and hikers to enjoy.

Why is it that we (Malaysians) are always trying to destroy what's already perfect? Can't we just learn to appreciate what nature is offering us by keeping things the way they are? All we are asking is a little bit of buffer zone between our stressful environment - that is not too much to ask for I think.

We are not asking the government to spend millions of ringgit to beautify our green lungs. In fact, all the work done at Bukit Kiara was carried out voluntarily by a small group of people simply for other people to enjoy.

I don't think the government is foolish enough to think that green lungs don't play an important role in improving the lifestyle and health for the people. They need to put some serious thoughts into it. Start looking at things in the long run.

I know they are not getting rid of the green, but whatever they are doing now is no different from that. Tracks are were being widened, trees were being cut down, land being excavated. All these are going to contribute to soil erosion.

Then it's just a matter of time the whole place becomes unusable and abandoned. What happens next is that we, the volunteers, will have to come back and do the dirty work. So please, if Kuala Lumpur City Hall thinks they are improving the environment, they should think again.
