I refer to the Malaysiakini report Dr M's 'selective memory' mocked .

When did Malaysian citizens hear of Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s poor memory? Never. In the past as PM and even after his retirement, he could quote names and places accurately without fail.

Dr M only chose ‘obedient candidates’ as criteria for appointment as judges. If he turned down any candidate, I am sure that he could remember the reasons.

On the appointment of judges, Dr M told that he did consult with tycoon Vincent Tan. So logically, Malaysians could presume that he had consulted other businessmen too.

What have businessmen to do with judiciary? Are they more proficient on law matters? No. They are money-minded. They would make sure that at lawsuits, the judges would grant them ‘favours’

Now there is a piece updated news. Vincent Tan has donated RM4million to two charity hospitals, and RM6million to the MCA to run Chinese schools.

I can see that Tan wants to use his money to redeem his image following this Lingam tape scandal. Should the scandal never have come to light, do you think he would want to fork out the money?

May I ask MCA president Ong Ka Ting what would he thinks about Dr M consulting Tan for advice? And woe to the Chinese schools because the government has never had any desire to help Chinese schools. The Chinese have to bail out their schools themselves.
