Talk sense or shut up
When I read the newspapers yesterday, I thought the 'best' statement for the day was MIC president S Samy Vellu's: "We should think with our heads and not our hands. If we think with our hands we might end up losing them."
Then I read what Norkhaila Jamaluddin had to say ([#1] Taman Lindungan clash not racial, say police [/#] (March 9): "The Malays in the area have 'long been patient although the Indians have attacked us again and again'."
I do understand that as a state assembly representative she needs to get political mileage out of this situation, but this kind of statement is very irresponsible.
I really think that in a situation like what we have been having since Thursday - one should either talk sense or keep quiet.
Making rash, inaccurate statements would just make the problem worse.
