I have not seen a more absurd statement than this. MIC claims they represent the community in the government. So they are duty bound to fulfill the wants of the community. If this is not done, then it is our right to highlight it to the government.

The opposition is not in power. If they were in power at any point of time during the past 50 years, than his question has merit. If this Saravanan the rising star in MIC, then I’m afraid all the re-branding in the world will not be able to help the MIC.

His stupidity was there to be seen when at a recent MIC meet, he claimed the party’s history started only when president S Samy Vellu took over the party. If he cannot comprehend the simple facts of history how is he going to comprehend the complexity of the Indian community’s need in Malaysia?

Thirty years is a long time for a leader to achieve things. If he cannot do it then another 100 years will not make any difference.

Nothing has happened so he must be irrelevant in the cabinet. So there is nothing wrong in us asking for a relevant leader to be in the cabinet.
