May I draw your attention to the claim made by S Rajalingam that he is the president of the Petaling Jaya Residents Association ([#1] Rebuilding a community [/#], March 14).

As far as I know there are already various residents associations in PJ, named after the housing estates they represent, such as Damansara Jaya Residents & Owners Association, Bandar Utama Res Assoc, Damansara Utama Residents Association plus nine others and we are often puzzled by statements he has made in The Star often times claiming to be the president.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do not think the presidents of other residents associations know which housing area he represents.

His views on rebuilding a community have been practised by DJROA (D'sara Jaya Res and Owners Assoc) for more than six years now and has indeed been successful.
