While there is a need to publicise the robbery that is going on in the EPF strongroom, I suggest that the country's top political lawyers meanwhile file a class action on behalf on EPF contributors to prevent further misuse of public funds.

Why political lawyers? Apparently the country's Auditor-General is busy auditing local councils' belated accounts; the Bar Council is busy keeping records of member attendance; the accountants association of Malaysia is sleeping and the list goes on.

Not that I place much hope in our judicial system these days, but the need to expose and publicise the misdeeds of these robbers is more compelling than my lack of faith.

Those people deemed responsible should be:

1) The Prime Minister of Malaysia;

2) The Finance Minister; and

3) The Chairman and Board of Directors of EPF.

In future the EPF contributors should demand the following:

1) Half-annual statement of accounts of EPF; and

2) Audited annual accounts similar to annual reports of public companies.
