I have been following up on malaysiakini every alternate day and find that unlike any other media, it is quite daring in its approach and the news are rather challenging to the mind. Keep up the good work!

However, I'd like to express my worries about our country. It is sad to know that the political games never end! Everybody wants to win and nobody cares to even ponder for a while what Malaysians really want. We are from multi-racial community, and yet it seems that a certain party only cares for its people and not everyone as a whole.

I am a little frustrated with how typical Malaysians think. It would sound very improper of me to mention race. We are heading towards the modernisation of the world where we need to focus more on technology, medicine, education and the likes. Sure, religion plays important part too, but must we be extremists and not allow freedom at all? I pity a certain party that uses religion to win votes.

I feel that religion itself doesn't have to be so extreme. It's supposed to guide us from doing wrong and to strengthen our faith of our creator. There are plenty of religions but they all come from one ultimate creator. If not, why call ourselves brothers and sisters?

I hope we don't have to endure such childish political games anymore. People's lives are at stake and every day we wake up we wonder whether Malaysia will be a safe place for our children in future, where freedom is respected and there will be no more extremists propagating their beliefs. It's so pathetic! Why not foster harmonious ties between all of us instead of pointing fingers and blaming everyone?

For a while, please don't think about yourselves. Think about other people. We all don't wear the same shirt colours, do we? Why not respect one another?

I hope malaysiakini will address issues on Malaysian rights rather than political issues. No point reading all the latter. We don't even know whether we are fighting for the right or wrong. Ask ourselves a thousand times, is it worth discussing these political issues, the agendas of which never end?

I think it's about time we all stand up and speak up: We all want to be considered as Malaysians, not as a Malay, Chinese or Indian. In fact, nobody owns Malaysia. Only God does.
