I like to make a clarification on your April 6 article titled "Keadilan, PAS no-show at police briefing on clashes"on behalf of the six-men DAP delegation.

1) The meeting was initiated by the Selangor DAP soon after the Kg Medan incident. Only the DAP was invited for the briefing although Selangor DAP had earlier requested to include officials from the other BA component parties. It is therefore incorrect to say that both Keadilan and PAS were invited and they did not show up.

2) The six-men DAP delegation led by Ahmad Nor requested the police report to be made public. He is not in a position to reveal the report to the public.

3) Selangor DAP vice-chairman M. Manoharan was reported as saying "revealing to the public what was discussed at the session could incite racial tension".

Manoharan denied saying those words. He said all that was stated by him was that he was dissatisfied with the briefing by the police because at that stage, it was just one side of the story, that is the police side. He said by revealing only the police side of the story can create tension.

4) Selangor DAP has requested the police to continue its presence in Petaling Jaya Selatan to which the police has given its assurance.

5) Selangor DAP has also requested the Selangor Police to lift the ban on political ceramahs and dinners in Selangor. An official letter would be sent to the Selangor police chief on the matter.

6) I have also put in a letter to the Selangor police in my capacity as the advisor to the SJKC Damansara SOS action committee, requesting the police to open the Damansara school gate every Sunday morning for cleaning and maintenance.
