Just got done reading an article by malaysiakini columnist Dr Farish A Noor. What a vast difference there is between this guy's writing and that of another columnist, MGG Pillai. The gap is like light and day!

One packs his articles with so many facts that you get a headache halfway through, while the other simply pastes up rumours and attempts to string them together with vapid conjecture.

You can only finish the one after several revisits, while most times you'd be able to race through the other in nary a heartbeat.

I wonder why malaysiakini , who wears its heart on its sleeves with its tagline, still allows Pillai to maintain a column within its pages. It is obvious that the guy is not even close to a journalist!

Gossip columnist in the National Enquirer , maybe, but a journo who writes "news that matters"? Hardly.
