I refer to the letter written by a student in Birmingham University, UK ('No'to end of quota, May 14). I totally agree with his view that the quota system is necessary to protect our rights, for today and for tomorrow (the next generation).

I would also like to question both PAS and Keadilan who claim to be champions of the Malay. Why are they silent on this matter? Why let the Barisan Alternatif component DAP question our rights? Are you too weak to voice out your stand?

As it is, many of my friends have change their stand from supporting the opposition to Barisan Nasional. If you (both PAS and Keadilan) want to win the next election, prove to us that you are champions of Malay rights.

If you manage to convince us, you will get our vote; so act fast before it is too late!
